Reach Out, NFP is dedicated to making a difference in the community by fundraising for organizations who assist and help victims of domestic violence and their families.
In 2011, we partnered with the Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women's Network. The Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women's Network (CMBWN) believes in a woman's right to self-determination in all aspects of her life, and that living free from violence is a basic human right. Our collaborative work to end violence against women is an integral part of a broader social justice movement against discrimination and oppression. We were able to present a check to CMGWN in the amount of $2,500 dollars due to the success of the Orso Wine Event and the Chicago Tory Burch Store Shopping Event which the store generously donated a percentage of the sales to our charity.
2012 has brought an enthusiastic change to Reach Out Chicago. Jennifer Polzer, has taken over as President, and has selected new board members who bring a new perspective and passion to the non-profit organization world. New members bring new ideas and goals and that is our motto for 2012-2013 Fiscal Year! We are committed to make the 2012-2013 Fiscal year the most rewarding yet for our organization and increasing our publicity in the Chicago Metropolitan Area.
We are happy to announce that our 2012-2013 fiscal year Adoptee is Life Span. Together, Reach Out and Life Span are committed strategic partners in the fight against domestic violence. For more information on Life Span, please visit their website at: life-span.org.
